Celebrating the Holidays in Key West
Celebrate your holidays with us this year in true tropical style. Here are a few unique December experiences that you can find only in Key West:
Conch Train Holiday Lights Tour
December 12 – 17, 20 – 23, and 26
6:30 P.M. and 8 P.M.
All year long the Conch Train delights with guided tours of the historic sites of Key West. In December, the special Holiday Lights Tour treats passengers to the vibrant holiday decorations that adorn the homes and businesses of our tiny island. The tour departs from Key West High School, 2100 Flagler Ave.
Key West Lighted Boat Parade
December 11
8 P.M. – 10:30 P.M.
Each December, the Key West Lighted Boat Parade sends a bevy of boats down Key West Bight, all decked out in extravagant holiday lights, inflatables, and other festive décor. To settle down by the judge’s stand, head to Schooner Wharf Bar at 202 William St.
New Year’s Eve Bash(es)
December 31
Key West rings in the New Year with "ball" drops up and down Duval Street. Revelers will dance and drink the night away, gathering at midnight to watch their venue’s unique "ball"—whether a massive conch shell, a giant key lime slice, or even a towering sequined drag queen—descend from impressive heights to mark the instant 2021 ticks over to 2022.
