The 27th Annual Key West Songwriters Festival

For well over a century, Key West has been a haven for painters, poets, playwrights, musicians, and performers of all kinds. This rich bohemian tradition continues today as folks from around the world travel to our sunny island to be entertained and uplifted at popular multi-day events like the Key West Songwriters Festival. Now in its 27th year, this annual 5-day celebration of live musical talent will run from May 3 – 7, 2023, at sites across the island, from historic theaters, to bars, to glistening white sand beaches and more. Though some shows do require a ticket purchase beforehand, most are free to the public, giving you the opportunity to take in as much fantastic new music as possible without ever reaching into your pocketbook. In addition to the music itself, you’ll also get to hear the stories behind the songs as performers regale audiences with the moving, magical, and often amusing life experiences that have inspired their art.
